How to do the activity

  1. Place the tray on a stable surface away from electrical items.
  2. Add a small amount of water to one container.
  3. Show how to pour slowly into the empty container.
  4. Try transferring water with a cup, spoon and sponge.
  5. Use words such as full, empty, more, less, wet and dry.
  6. Let your child repeat the action while you remain beside them.
  7. Empty all containers immediately after play.
